IMPORTANT: UK Program Tracking Issue

I just got word from Paul Lewis, the UK affiliate manager, that the tracking is screwed up on the CJ side and the Ancestry.co.uk links are currently not dropping a cookie. Because of this, they've decided to take the program off out of "Live" status and work out the technicalities. The program will be off-line at the MOST, till Wednesday, July 27.

Consequently:

- The deadline of August 4 to get 100 clicks will be moved back the same number of days that the program is offline. (However, we will still start the A.com special commission rate on August 5, if you have hit the goal by that time.)

- The deadline of July 28 to switch A.co.uk links from BeFree to CJ will be moved back the same number of days that the program is offline.

- If you choose to leave your already-changed links up (which I actually recommend), the user experience will not be damaged, and the traffic to that link will be tracked. However, any actual sales will not show until this issue is remedied.

- Affiliates who have not yet applied to the Ancestry.co.uk program will not be able to apply until it is re-instated as live. Affiliates who are already in the Ancestry.co.uk program will still have access to create and implement links.

The good news is this: Commission Junction has a tool called Down Tracking Rebuild, which estimates the sales each affiliate should have had during a down-time based on historical numbers (in our case, historical BeFree numbers) and adds that amount as a bonus to your voucher. We will be using this tool once sales tracking is back up.
